
Born in 1952, he spent his childhood with his mother in Florence. He left school at age 18 because he had to work. He trained to become a sales assistant with a renowned Florentine jeweler. Seven years later, he became consultant of the firm and was asked to oversee the opening of a new store in London, a position which sees him evolve in to store director for four years.At age thirty, he was acknowledged by Alizera family-official agent to Harry Winston-who offered him position of official representative in KSA. Dynamic, persistent and entrepreneurial, Fawaz accepted the challenge and stayed for three years. When he came back to Europe, Bulgari contacted him. Gianni Bulgari, a glorious name in the jewelry industry, creates a new position for him within Bulgari Precious Trading and grants him entire confidence to become first within group to sell the newly created jewelry collections worldwide. His work with Bulgari was a unique enriching experience; thus, he followed Bulgari as example.In 1993, he founded de GRISOGONO with two associates in Geneva. His designs and refined taste attracted clients. In 1996, he separated from his associates and opened a new chapter for DE GRISOGONO. He paid homage to the black diamond, a gem neglected by jewelers for decades. Hence, he used black diamonds in necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.
