Badr Al-Humeidi started his career as a professor in Kuwait University. From an academic field, he joined the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) where he remained for over 30 years pursuing a long career which lead him to the top position. President of the KFAED, he was appointed Minister of Finance in 2006; he remained minister in 4 successive governments. In 2007, he was appointed Minister of Oil; he resigned one month later. He justified his resignation as being for the general interest of Kuwait. Passionate about Lebanon, Badr Al-Humeidi contributed a lot for Paris II Conference of donor countries, which was held in Paris, Kuwait being a key donor country. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in Faraya, Lebanon.
