A programmer in Al-Ahram newspaper’s computer division in the early 1970s, Tarek Nour was later a radio personality and a member of a popular local band. He was credited with launching the first privately owned agency in Egypt and whose iconic logo is seen by millions of people every day in print, radio and television ads. From a small creative shop in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tarek Nour Holdings has grown to include the nation’s largest communications group, in addition to activities in real estate, services and agriculture. The corporation owns today a media house, a press, four ad agencies, an outdoor media company and a television production company. Tarek Nour introduced for the first time on Egyptian TV- Prime time own produced TV content to become the most expensive time slot on Egyptian TV. His company was the first and only company in the Arab world and Africa that was accepted in the stock market exchange. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in El Gouna, Egypt.
