Although one of the richest men in the world according to the Forbes 100 list, Abdul Aziz Al-Suleiman remains a firm believer in leading a life of discrete modesty. Born into a political background, Suleiman's father was the first Saudi Arabian finance minister in the time of King Abdul Aziz. Following schooling in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Suleiman went on to study economics in the US. His money-making career began on a small scale when he borrowed money from a friend to start a car importing business. From here he moved into construction in the tourism industry, and later banks. He retains a particular love for Lebanon, having married a Lebanese and counting a large number of Lebanese among his friends. With his Lebanese wife Leila el-Zein, Abdul Aziz Al-Suleiman has five children - four girls and a boy. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in Paris, France.
