With all the enthusiasm and aspiration of youth, Ali Ghandour adopted the creeds of Antoun Saade, founder of the Syrian Nationalist Party. He left Lebanon after the execution of Saade. While in France, Ghandour received the death sentence that the Lebanese Authorities issued against him for being accused of preparing a political overthrow in 1961.However, he decided to persist and go on regardless of death sentences. He left to Abidjan, then to Kuwait and settled finally in Jordan. Complying with his life revolutionary restless spirit, he chose a rare career at those times: aviation. He contributed in establishing the Royal Jordanian Airways and served as its Director and Chairman for a long time. The success of the company and its large fleet speaks of the excellent management of Mr. Ghandour, who not only contributed to its inception and booming, but also to the development of a number of airlines in the Middle East.
