“I would like to dedicate this evening to my home, Beirut. This small, misunderstood capital of charm that is fighting for change tomorrow. I would also like to dedicate it to Shireen Abu Aqla, to the woman who showed Palestine to the world, at her own risk. If there ever was a role model, it is you, Shireen. May your cause prevail and may the entire world one day see Palestine as you saw it.
