Salah Oqbi is a chemical engineer and a Jordanian businessman. He founded the first medical chalk manufacturing factory in Jordan. His company became one of the biggest in the world competing with only two other factories in the world, one in France and the other in Korea. He is a social reformer who was able to change the culture of an entire region and to make it believe that work has a social value and not just a financial one. His work extended to gender equality and to prove that the value of women in the workforce is equal to that of men.
