Holding the Line: Philanthropy in Times of War

As the war escalated in Lebanon and across the region, much of the planned activity and momentum was inevitably brought to a halt. In this context, priorities shifted. What remains today is the essential: humanitarian and philanthropic engagement. Efforts have been redirected toward supporting displaced populations and refugees, responding to urgent needs on the ground with the means available. At the same time, a parallel responsibility continues through digital platforms, conveying messages that seek to bridge divides, counter fragmentation, and reaffirm the importance of dialogue. In moments of uncertainty and tension, maintaining a voice that calls for cohesion and shared humanity becomes not secondary, but necessary.
